It's been a while since I've done a "Word of the Day" post. This one is timely, considering the rounds of thunderstorms that we are supposed to have this week.

Trying my hand at sales...
So last month I decided to try something new to try to make money from home. I found a company that makes scented soy wax candles that is NOT a multi-level marketing company. I got accepted to be a rep, so now I can sell candles. :) Best part for anyone wanting to buy one, I'm not going to pressure you into trying to sell them too. ;)
I got my sample kit in the mail yesterday, and all the samples smell awesome. The food themed ones make me hungry. (Seriously, the blueberry muffin one is mouthwatering!) Best of all, they're just the right amount of scent. They're not so overpowering that they give me a headache.

Updates
I got bored with the look of the blog. So I stayed up waaaaaaaaay to late last night and made some changes. I like it a lot better now. :) I updated the header to better reflect all the things I like, love and/or obsess over.

Here comes Peter Cottontail
We took some easter pictures of Serenity earlier this week. Her favorite wardrobe change was going from a floral headband to bunny ears. :) Thanks to that, I have the Peter Cottontail song stuck in my head.

The dreaded "F" word
I figured this post would be kind of appropriate for Friday the 13th.
Serenity's ever expanding vocabulary is finally starting to get to the point of potentially causing embarrassment, or possibly causing proper old ladies to need their smelling salts.
Yes, she's getting to the stage of saying words that sound like other words. The first few times she said "shirt" she left out the R. Fortunately, that never left the house. ;) Sock, on the other hand, still sounds like "suck".
But "fork". That word is Trouble with a capital T. She is very adamant when she wants a fork to eat with, no matter the company we're around. I'm sure it takes very little imagination to deduce what she's actually saying when she shouts at me across a crowded (or not so crowded) restaurant for a fork. Thankfully the staff at Chipotle last week were pretty good natured about the random toddler shouting expletives at lunchtime...

Holy Exploding Diapers, Batman!
This morning, I learned the hard way that I should not give my daughter Taco Bell & apple juice in the same day. :( I don't blame her for waking up crying. I wanted to cry too when I walked into her room. Needless to say, she took a bath, and ALL her bedding went into the wash. :\
